Brave Youth

Brave Youth Aims and Values

We Serve

We don’t serve a team, we serve a saviour.

When we serve we have the following three principles at our core:

1)    We serve consistently

2)    We serve creatively

3)    We serve connected

We Share

We recognise we are stewards of everything God has given us.

We know that the greatest need the world faces is their disconnection form God.

We aim to show and explain the difference that Jesus has made in our lives to others.

We Support

We recognise our needs as humans. We know that we are in a battle between our flesh and our spirit.

We understand the need to identify our feelings, to manage our feelings, to recognise the feelings in others and make choices that support them.

We Strengthen

We meet regularly to spend time together. We know this helps us build friendships and a community that love God and others.

Ages 7-11

Join us at 6pm-7pm every Friday night for some games, fun and conversations about faith! Each Friday night (term time) we meet to have fun, make new friends, and find out about living life to the full. Brave Youth is committed to providing a fun space for young people to be young people and hear good news.

Ages 11-17

You are more than welcome to join us on a Friday evening from 7-8:30pm for Brave Youth, where we have different games and activities ranging from card games to football, and also spaces where you can just relax and talk. We would also love you to join us from 8:30-9pm, for our "food for thought" section of Brave Youth. Here we have some free food, and hear a message from one of our volunteers about faith in Jesus, with a time to discuss, explore, and ask questions.

Questions you may have…

Q: What if I’m not a Christian? Can I still come to Youth?

A: Yes of course you can! Our Youth Group is open to everybody. You will probably hear us talk about our faith because we love Jesus here, but there is no pressure for you to already be a Christian before you come.

Q: Are you open during half-terms?

A: No, we do not run during half-terms!

Q: Does it cost money to come to Brave Youth?

A: No! It’s free for you to come and enjoy :)

Q: Where do you meet on a Friday Night?

A: We meet at Brave Church, on Watson Street Road in Oswaldtwistle :)
